Dailey Eye Associates: Central Pennsylvania's first choice for LASIK to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.
A cataract forms when the normally clear lens in the eye becomes cloudy or opacified. In most instances, cataract formation is part of the normal aging process in th eye. People may become aware of a developing cataract if they experience glare symptoms, difficulty with night driving or poor night vision, dim or blurry vision, difficulty reading, doublw vision in one eye, or diminished color vision.

Fortunately, people who develop cataracts do not have to live with impaired vision. Dr. Dailey and Dr. Harvey use the latest no needle, now stitch, no patch cataract surgery techniques to help restore good vision. In a procedure called phacoemuslification, ultrasound waves are used to remove the cataract and a small lens (IOL) is placed in the eye to restore good vision. This procedure is done on an outpatient basis, and promotes rapid healing so you can return to your normal lifestyle quickly!
